Join Paul Fairclough for the ‘Saturday Show’ featuring great music, banter and memories, as well as all your requests and dedications.
Paul’s radio career started at the age of 12 at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester on a children’s show called Breakaway. From that initial broadcast he was bitten by the radio bug and continued to do features for the programme, and then also helped with a hospital radio and a talking newspaper for the blind.
Upon leaving school he went into radio and became a presenter for Radio Top Shop in their stores. He later became the programme controller employing the likes of Chris Moyles, Andi Peters and hypnotist Paul McKenna.
Paul’s full-time radio career has seen him work for MFM/Marcher in North Wales, Radio Aire in Leeds, and for 21 years now the companies who have now become my current employer, The Wireless Group.
He has worked at their stations in Manchester, Bolton, Bradford and for the last 12 years in sunny Stoke at Signal.
For a few years, Paul has had a business producing personalised gifts, everything from mugs to awards for those looking for a bespoke gift.
And he is also a smartphone quiz host at a number of venues including Neil Morrissey’s Plume of Feathers.
